tarot deck interview
every time i purchase or receive a new tarot or oracle deck, i take the opportunity to get to know it individually.
sometimes, i just get a strong gut feeling about why a particular deck has made its way to me — which is usually proven true with these interview questions — and sometimes a deck will just shock me.
it can be helpful to interview decks to know when and why to reach for each one. some decks are here to offer emotional support, some more financially or with business, some with more serious “death and rebirth” topics. some decks may be here to work in tandem with another deity, being or medium you’re working with.
while this interview works well with tarot and oracle decks, i find that i get much more in depth answers with tarot — as is the way of tarot.

tell me about yourself — what’s your personality? what’s the “vibe”?
what are your strengths as a deck? — why are you here? what topics are you best at handling?
what are your limits as a deck? — what topics would be best to ask another deck? what are you making clear that you won’t discuss?
what are you here to teach me? — what lessons, topics or themes are you here for me to learn about in more depth?
how can i best collaborate with and learn from you? — what energy should i bring to our spreads? what do i need to know about sitting down to pull cards with you?
what is the potential outcome of our relationship? — what benefits will come from working with you?
